The 2024 Advent Christmas markets just opened in Budapest and they are already jammed packed with tourists and locals enjoying the festive holiday atmosphere. Budapest Christmas Markets are regularly ranked in the top 10 of European Christmas Markets. Seems this year in 2024 there are more unique items than in the past. The food is always overpriced, but this year they implemented a rule that all stalls have to offer a low price meal (napi menu) for 1600ft or about 4 EUR. There are 2 main parts of the Market. The biggest is at Vorosmarty Square which leads you to Fashion Street and Deak Ter. The Second Main Market is the Advent Market in front of St. Stephen's Basilica. There is an amazing tree in the middle, but it tends to be very crowded and a bit claustrophobic IMHO. ------------------------------- Thanks for watching!
